His focus is global macro, with emphasis on sovereign credit, currencies, interest rates of emerging market economies. Prior to SPX, he was a partner and portfolio manager at Pharo Management from September 2005 to July 2016, where he helped develop a framework of risk taking heavily reliant on quantitative economic research and portfolio optimization tools. He has also worked at BNP Paribas from 1998 to 2004, Bankers Trust (1993-1997) and Banco Icatu (1989-1993). His focus at these institutions was Latin American fixed income and currency instruments trading, with a research-based, bottom-up approach.
